LIFE/DEATH THROUGH DIFFERENT RELIGIOUS BELIEF

ONE MORNING AFTER HAVING A REALISTIC DREAM WITH SOMEONE VERY DEAR TO ME THAT PASSED AWAY, IT GOT ME THINKING, WHAT HAPPENS TO OUR LOVED ONES WHEN THEY PASS AWAY? I KNOW THEIR FLESH DIES BUT IS THERE SOMETHING THAT REMAINS AROUND US FROM THEM? WILL WE ALL MEET AGAIN AS STATED IN THE BIBLE RESURRECTION?  PEOPLE WOULD SAY, “IF YOU BELIEVE IN GOD YOU WILL NOT QUESTION THESE THINGS”, I SAY, I DO BELIEVE IN GOD BUT, I WILL NOT BE IGNORANT TO THE FACT OF OTHER PEOPLE S BELIEFS BECAUSE OF MY OWN. RESEARCHING OTHER BELIEFS WILL NOT EFFECT MY BELIEF.
THE DEFINITION OF RELIGION: is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that establishes symbols that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values.[1] Many religions have narratives, symbols, traditions and sacred histories that are intended to give meaning to life or to explain the origin of life or the universe. They tend to derive morality, ethics, religious laws or a preferred lifestyle from their ideas about the cosmos and human nature.
I READ UP ON ATHEIST’S, SCIENTOLOGIST’S, CHRISTIAN’S AND BUDDHIST’S BELIEFS ON LIFE AND DEATH.
ATHEIST’S BELIEFS ARE THAT LIFE FORMS END IN DEATH AND THE ELEMENTS OF WHICH THEY ARE COMPOSED RETURNED TO THE AIR AND THE EARTH TO BE TAKEN UP AND RECYCLED IN SOME NEW ORGANISM.  THEY DO NOT BELIEVE THAT HUMANS HAVE A SOUL OR SPIRIT.  AS STATED ON http://atheistfoundation.org  “religious organizations are guilty of perpetrating a colossal fraud on ignorant and gullible people, chiefly through the indoctrination of infants. They are aided and abetted by the media who fear adverse reaction affecting profits if the facts are revealed”.  The R.C PRIEST CHURCH DECLARED THAT WITH THE NATURE OF CONCEPTION A MALE RECEIVED A “SOUL” 40DAYS, AND A FEMALE 90 DAYS, AFTER INTERCOURSE. WHEN I READ THIS I JUST THOUGH TO MYSELF “R U FREAKING KIDDING ME” (LOL). THE CONCLUSION OF THE ATHEIST LIFE/DEATH BELIEFS IS BY ACCEPTING THAT LIFE IS ONLY FOR A BRIEF MOMENT MAY IT BE SHORT OR LONG IT IS CONFRONTED ON HOW TO LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST.
WHAT IS A SOUL?  MY THOUGHTS ON OUR SOUL IS ALL OF OUR COLLECTIVE MEMORIES AND ACTIONS IN A SPIRITUAL FORM.
CHRISTIANS BELIEFS ARE THE EXISTENCE OF HELL AND HEAVEN AND IN WHICH BELIEVERS ENJOY THE PRESENCE OF GOD.  IF YOU DO NOT LIVE ACCORDINGLY TO THE BIBLE AND THE CHRISTIAN WAYS OF LIVING YOU WILL BE PUNISHED.  AS STATED AT: http://religionfacts.comAt the end of the age, the bodies of the dead shall be raised. The righteous shall enter into full possession of eternal bliss in the presence of God, and the wicked shall be condemned to external death”. THE RESURRECTION WILL BE WHEN THE DEAD RISE AND ALL WILL BE JUDGED. I’M NOT QUESTIONING GOD WHEN I ASK, WHEN WE DIE AND WE ARE WAITING FOR THE RESURRECTION TO BE JUDGED, ARE OUR SOULS WONDERING ON EARTH OR IN ALMOST LIKE A WAITING ROOM WAITING
TO BE CALLED?  ARE WE RELIVING OUR LIFE THROUGH MEMORY WHILE WERE WAITING?
SCIENTOLOGY'S BELIEFS ARE THAT WE ARE REBORNED.  “Scientology teaches that people are immortal beings who have forgotten their true nature.[7] Its method of spiritual rehabilitation is a type of counseling known as auditing, in which practitioners aim to consciously re-experience painful or traumatic events in their past in order to free themselves of their limiting effects”.  ISAAC HAYES WAS A SCIENTOLOGY'S.  ACCORDING TO THE RELIGIOUS BELIEFS WHEN ISAAC HAYES DIED, HIS SOUL WILL BE BORN AGAIN INTO THE FLESH OF ANOTHER BODY. WHEN A PERSON WHO BELIEVES IN SCIENTOLOGY DIES, A THETAN IS CARRIED TO A “LANDING STATION” ON VENUS WHERE IT IS “PROGRAMMED WITH LIES” PUT IN A CAPSULE, AND THEN “DUMPED” BACK ON EARTH, WHERE IT WANDERS IN SEARCH OF A BABY TO INHABIT.  THIS MADE ME THINK OF THE ATHEIST RELIGION WHERE STATED ON THE THIRD PARAGRAPH ON HOW THE R.C PRIEST CLAIMED IT TOOK A MALE AND FEMALE CERTAIN TIME FRAME TO RECEIVE A SOUL. THE STRANGEST THING IS THE SCIENTOLOGISTS DON’T BELIEVE IN REINCARNATION.  REINCARNATION FUNCTIONS AS A KIND OFF JUSTICE SYSTEM, MEANING AN INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOR IN ONE LIFE DETERMINES THE CALIBER IN THE NEXT BUT SCIENTOLOGY IS MORE MECHANICAL SYSTEM IT’S DESCRIBED AS “SIMPLY LIVING TIME AFTER TIME, GETTING A NEW BODY, EVENTUALLY LOSING IT AND GETTING A NEW ONE”.
FATHERING MY RESEARCH TO BUDDHISM BELIEVE THAT THE SPIRIT OF A PERSON WILL LINGER ON FOR SOMETIME AND CAN BE AFFECTED BY WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CORPSE. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE BODY IS TREATED GENTLY AND WITH RESPECT AND THAT THE PRIEST CAN HELP THE SPIRIT CONTINUE ITS JOURNEY CALMLY TO A HIGHER STATE. VIETNAMESE TRADITION PRAY FOR THE DEAD FOR 49 DAYS AFTER PASSING AWAY, 49 BEING THE ESTIMATED TIME IT TAKE FOR THE SPIRIT TO BE REBORN AGAIN INTO A NEW LIFE. SOME SPIRITS ARE REBORN 3DAYS, 21DAYS, 49DAYS OR 100 DAYS AFTER DEATH. THE LAW OF KARMA WILL PLACE A MAJOR ROLE IN REINCARNATION. IF WE BRING HAPPINESS TO PEOPLE, WE WILL BE HAPPY. IF WE CREATE SUFFERING, WE WILL EXPERIENCE SUFFERING EITHER IN THIS LIFE OR IN A FUTURE ONE.         MY QUESTION IS WHO DETERMINES THE HAPPINESS OR MISERY WE BRING TO PEOPLE IN BUDDHISM?
IN CONCLUSION THESE DIFFERENT RELIGIONS INTERTWINE IN AND OUT WITH ONE ANOTHER.  BUDDHIST/CHRISTIANS BELIEFS IN THE GOOD WE DO DETERMINES WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DEATH; ATHEIST/SCIENTOLOGY'S BELIEFS WHAT WE DO WHILE WERE ALIVE WILL NOT DETERMINE WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE DIE. RELIGION IS A TOOL THAT CAN EITHER BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER OR DIVIDE NATIONS. MAY IT BE GOD, ALLAH, BUDDHA, Jehovah OR WHATEVER YOUR NAME OR BELIEF YOU LIVE BY, I HOPE THAT PEOPLE WILL START TO UNDERSTAND THAT JUST BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT BELIEFS IT SHOULD NOT ALTER ONE THING LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER. I RECENTLY HAD ANOTHER DREAM WITH THE SAME FAMILY MEMBER THIS TIME WE WERE ON THE PHONE TALKING TO EACH OTHER, MY PHONE CALL FROM HEAVEN I CALL IT. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE A COMMENT.

I pooped over from Deb's just to take a look. A couple of things popped into my head as I read you thoughts and logic.

The term in the Torah "...and God breathed into them and man became a living soul" The Hebrew word there used for soul is Nephesh.

"...the word refers to the tangible aspects of life, and human beings and animals are both described as having a nephesh.[1]
{1}http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nephesh

It commonly is called Breath Life as well.

I will not make comment on my understanding what that means.

The second is that Buddha on his death bed as a portion of his final teaching said "...Find your own path."

I like Buddhist thought and philosophy but at the same time there are not many that I don't like. There is much wisdom in all the texts but it the ability to understand that is key.

And finally I really honestly direct and have faith that it matters little what we think is in the next or whether or not there is a next life after this one. It is, as it is.

Some of us can barely contain our enthusiasm to know while others among us fear going through that door so mightily now, that they forget to live today.

I know absolutely what I believe but that did not come about until I spent decades trying to comprehend and understand. *shrug* Again what I believe is of little consequence because truth is always as truth knows itself to be not how I or anyone else thinks it to be.

The Christians say "For now we look through a smoky glass but soon enough it will all become clear" OK I can live with that.

And finally [again] yes I think that your posted definition of religion is a good one: A cultural construct to support and empower human thinking while in this place. It is unfortunate though that some use religion as a weapon and way to their own fame and wealth. *shrug* That too is a cultural construct.

Be Well

Thank you for your words of knowledge, i didn't even know that about the Hebrew information and different views on the religions i did research on. I love "Find your own path" very inspiring that's why Buddha was a great philosopher of peace. thanks Again :)
